I am trying to decide what tranny to go with on my scout. will the stock A4 computer control the 4l80e with out any changes or will i need to tune it?

4l80e will work if you get someone to mod the pcm file...no biggie

once you get the pcm file modded with the 4l80e calibration..then yes just tune it

I was told by many people that the 98 pcm won't work. You would need a 99+ pcm to run the 4L80e if your thinking about using a f body computer.
