Proper routing for B&M 24K cooler??

Proper routing for B&M 24K cooler?? Does it matter which side of the B&M cooler you run the "in" line and the "out" line? I know it has that bypass valve and I didn't know if that made any difference. When I put my cooler on I didn't pay any attention to what line went where. I bypassed the radiator cooler and mounted it dope style. Just curious if I could have messed up the install. It gets hot after driving it so something is going on in there. Any help is apprectiated.
