I think it would work fine. If you are going to be bolt-on, I'd use a 26" slick and see if that hooked. You should just get through the traps in 3rd.

i currently have a 26" slick, so i would try that before mounting up the 28's. thanks for the advice.

Chris

Vig3600 w/ 4.10's????

Why? well why not? with all the talk about this converter in the past few posts, i'm just throwing around the idea. i mean, i have a set of 4.10's and I have my one free restall left on my vig3200. I would be running a 28" e.t. drag. I just like the way the 28's look on our cars first of all. Second, I'm gonna end up probably running a TP4400 later this year and it seemed that the TP4400 w/ 4.10 combo seemed to do well. But just wondering how you think it would do with actually getting traction compared to a Vig3200 w/ 3.23's. Thanks

Chris

If you`re gonna go with the Yank .. I think it would be a waste of time and $$ to keep changing converters... I`d sell the Vig. and just go with the Yank.. no?

I'd be interested to see what a Vig 3200 would do with 4.10's. It would probably feel tighter than stock

Re: Vig3600 w/ 4.10's????

i MAY have to do that like i said, the 4.10's that are in the SS are coming out and going with the stock gears, so i have those just sitting around. Might as well throw them in the Z maybe i can get a few extra hundreths out of this combo for now

Re: Vig3600 w/ 4.10's????

I've got the Vig3200 and just switched to 3.42's. From 3.23's I know it's not much of a jump, but around town drivabilty is like stock now.. Not that it was bad before with the 3.23's. I got the 3.42's to make up for the taller 26x10.50-16's, but switched to 26x11.50-15's, which are taller that the 16's... If you follow.

4.10's sound pretty steep, even with the 3600, but - you never know till you try it!
