What are the stock shift point's set at?

My car make's what could best be described as a "chirping" noise right before it shift's from 1st to 2nd at wot.
Looking at my tach, which I know is a bit slow, I'm shifting at about 6200 rpm's.
Is that noise I hear the rev limiter?
The car doesn't seem to miss a beat, just that odd chirp.
Idea's?

6k is stock shift point.

So that noise is the rev limiter?
Is this damaging my engine?

You would know if you hit the limiter because the car will fall on its face and the tach will "bounce". The factory limiter IS set @ 6200. As far as anything getting damaged just don't make it a habit to bounce the limiter on a daily basis

Phew, so it's not the limiter.
Thank's guy's.
