yank ss 3600 and ms4 cam? i was wondering if getting a yank ss3600 and the ms4 cam would be a good pick? i know they are both amazing themself but together would the be a good match? |
ss4000 |
From what I hear you don't wanna go with anything smaller than a 4K with that cam to get the most out of it. |
I am getting ready to upgrade to the SS3600 from my Yank SY3500.. I am running an RPM4 cam ( 232/236 .595 .601 114) full bolt ons, LS6 ported heads.. It should be perfect for my DD.. |
well the car is not a dd but i want to drive it on the weekends and i think that big of stall would be a bad idea.... |
if your only planning on sprayin a 100 shot and its a weekend worrier i would get a pt4000 and it will kill anyone from a 15 roll...theres a new one for sale in the "for sale" section.. |
For N/A I would go with an PT4400 and Spray a SS4000 |
hey im getting the same setup but i will be spraying 150shot but that cams powerband starts at 2300RPM and ends at 6500rpm so i would think a 4000 would be a lil too much i would look into like a 3600 like you said so it will be tight and it should work with that cam like they were made to be together. just my .02 sense |
with nitrous a 3600 would be perfect with the ms4, NA 4000-4400. |

i have the ms4 and yank ss4000. its a perfect setup, like they were made for each other |
The 3600 is a little low. I have a 3600 multi disc with lock up and a MS3. If you are going to drag race a lot I would go with 4000 or higher. With cams like the MS3 and 4 peak torque is made around 4500 rpm. or higher. You want to launch at peak torque. My car could use more stall, even on the spray. It leaves ok foot breaking it 1.54's, but off the trans brake it bogs. Don't worry about driving it on the street with a high stall when it locks up on the hiway you won't even notice it. The MS4 will need a big converter to tame it. Good luck |
you run a brake on a 4l60e? |
