Default installed my Lakewood driveshaft loop today

just wanted to give you guys the info on the new Lakewood loop.

- no drilling
- no driveshaft removal
- no exhaust clearance problems, the loop brace routes above the y-pipe
- no torque arm clearance problems, I have the BMR torque arm
- uses existing g-load brace holes to mount
- only $15 more than the jegs loop for a bolt-on installation

the only work involved to getting this thing up was having a friend pry the torque arm back while I put the upper half of the loop into place.

So it uses the holes for, and replaces the factory tunnel brace? What is the part #?

yes, it replaces the tunnel brace. The Lakewood p/n is 18022. I bought it from Summit Racing.

Plenty of Clearance to the BMR TA? Cool! What exhaust are you running? Do you think it would clear the Y-pipe from SLP Long Tubes??

Thanks!

As long as the y-pipe hangs lower than stock, which is the case with almost every aftermarket ypipe, and is routed the same as stock there will be no clearance issues with any exhaust.

Wilwaxu, its the loop that lakewood released in March. I ordered in March and received it in June, go figure.

Thanks Steve! If the Y-pipe doesnt hang any lower, do you see possible clearance issues with the loop itself?

There would have to be a lot of upward travel in the exhaust for it to hit the loop. I just don't see there being any issues.
