crack second??? you mean chirp the tires going into second??? if so torque management pulls timing on shifts so theres a nice drop in power(thank you GM) if you want to chirp second, get a tuner to delete drivthe torque managment and that should help. check to see what gears you have in the rear(check the drivers side door jam, GU5 is the RPO code for 3.23's the highest from the factory for auto's, if it is GU3, i believe you have 2.73's then and its harder to chirp second.) if all else fails, get a high stall, tranny cooler and a shift kit. if your on street tires, youll be spinning nicely on the upshifts

A shift kit is the cheapest and "safest" method here. The mild setting will be enough to get a nice chirp, but this change may be more aggressive than you'd like. Hard enough to get chirps at less than WOT, this is the cheapest and most reliable way. But, it is harder on your rear diff and to some extent the trans. The general understanding is a shift kit is worse on hard parts (breaking) and better for soft parts (slippage).

A tuner will also work but less reliably. Trannys have variation and some may not be able to be tuned with a handheld to make them chirp. There are many concerns with the changes the tuner making not being the best for the tranny.

You can study up to make your own decision or take the recommended route with a shift kit.

thats what i want .....chrip 2nd without WOT....but like i said it dosen't do it at all...i'm gonna have to read up on it the harder the better

Try searching under line pressure and shift kit. You should get the hits you need.
