Default TCI Shift kit low rpm 1st to 2nd change.

I had this shift kit installed on my 4l60e and when the change between 1st and 2nd happens at low rpm(low load) there is a a loud klunk is this normal? But not at high load.

Well the shift kit does not affect the actual shift timing at all other than the ability to hold first with the upper line kit as long as you want manually , However depending on shims used ect it could cause a rather aggressive jolt at low speeds , Particularly if they were all used Which by the way I dont suggest

The clunk that you are hearing on the 1-2 shift is probably coming from a worn sunshell or reverse input drum/band drum. Or both! The splines on these pieces are known for for wearing out. It is now more noticeable because of the shift kit. Vince
