Default turbo tranny guys

I just got off the phone with tci and they said a 98 flexplate will not work with a sbc converter. I'm sure they just want me to buy thiers but i already have a 98 flexplate on the way. Is there a pilot spacer needed to make the sbc work? If so how can i tell how long it needs to be? Does any one sell one?

They are correct. Just have the converter built for an LS1 car. This is very easy to do and done frequently for these types of swaps. I have the TCI LS1 flexplate and the converter in my car has the LS1 hub.
