Default UK chap needing g/box guidance

Hi Guys,

over in the uk there is almost no knowledge of yank auto boxes. Can someone give me some advice please.

I need a box which does the following:

Easily handles up to 600bhp reliably
4spd overdrive
preferably non electronic
can mate to an LS1
is very very reliable
can take high miles
is fully manual- ie it won't change up when it hits certain revs.
isn't too heavy- ie not more than about 150kg
should have had a history of being mated to 4wd- then it will have an output shaft i can use with a transfer box.

so which gearbox should i use and why? is their any benefit to a performance transmission?

i can find loads and loads of information on the specs of gearboxes, but not which ones are more suitable for different applications! please help as i need to buy a box in the next few weeks to get shipped to the UK.

Can anyone recommend any particular transmission guys?

YANK,regarding your slogan "yank it and youll get off quicker".i think this is a very poor way to try to sell a product, regardless of how good it is.i find that that to be a poor slogan and i think your referring to something else that doesnt belong in a converter add.a rebuttal stating my mind is in the wrong place is expected so dont hurt your fingers.i hope you use more common sense in the future ,if i was judging your slogans ingenuity or savvy id give it an F minus, and an A in the filth department .im surprised at you.christoforos kokkonis at ckperformance

chris718, although I don't think the slogan is the best, attacking a sponser directly in a thread when you are a sponser yourself doesn't give a good impression of your company. Yank is VERY well known and have a proven product, I doubt your comments will sway them either way, and frankly they shouldn't. If I had the money I'd be all over a Yank converter, cause I wanna get off quicker!!
