car doesn't want to shift
 

i had a computer program put in my car about a month ago and i picked up a lot from it. but it has also caused a problem with the transmission. The car hits the rev limiter twice shifting from 2 to 3 gear. it also doesn't shift until about 6500 rpms now. not only is it bad for the car, but it's hurting my times. any thoughts? thanks.

Well there are a few possibilities , you could have a 3-4 clutch on the way out of your tuner could have not made adequate allowance for time to shift , Sounds strange but many set up to shift at lets say 6000 but particularly with stock trans it may take up to 600 -700 rpm before the shift actually happens , couple that with rev limiter and you have some problems ,
Just and idea and yes i do realize speed plays a part to but you get the jest of it
