th350 and 323 gears

does anyone have this combo i sure hate to lose my low fist gear of the 4l60 and slow down, the converter size will be a 4000, had a 3800 in the 4l60.Losing overdrive is not a problem but i sure dont wanna slow down :drive:

i have a buddy that had a th350 and 3.23 gears in his car it had a magic stick cam, fast intake and long tube hedders. the car was a fuckin stud for what it was it went 7.3 at 94 in the 1/8 with that set up and on the street it was a stud with those gears and a stock wheel with a mt drag radial because it could go from about a 40roll which is what alot of the 6spd guys liked and he was still in 1st from a 40 roll so it hit alot harder. over all i think that it is a pretty good gear to have with a th350. i am in the process of putting my rossler th350 in my car and im going with a spool and 4.11's but it should be pretty insane off the t brake at the track. but overall i think that a 3.23 gear does the job if you are making enough power anywhere in the 380hp range you would be fine with that gear

yea you should be good i would say to try the 3.23's first than if you dont like them go with a bigger gear. just try out the 3.23's first before you jump in and buy some more gears so incase you decide the 3.23's are what you want you didnt just spend the money on new gears for nothing

we just finished my buddy joe's tranny swap and he has a rossler th350 with a T-brake it has an ati 8" 3800 stall converter and a set of 3.90 gears and it pulls like a train and his car makes 411rwhp. he said it felt amazing and there is a huge difference going from the 4l60e to the th350 in the performance.

i run 323's with the th400 and im pretty sure the 400's 1st is geared higher than the 350.... i noticed in dragged down low (dyno numbers in sig) but i went from a 3200 to 4400 stall and it made up for the gears. witht the 4000 stall id say you wont notice too much til you get the 3.73's.

i think overall if your not happy enough with the 3.23 gears if you do mostly 1/4 mile go with 3.73 or like me i do mainly 1/8 mile i went with 4.11's

I have that setup but i got 3.73's going in to make up for the first gear ratio change.
