Owners: Vig3200 and Vig3600 (questions)
I am trying to determine what kind of a converter I got. I bought mine used from the classifieds, it was supposedly a Vig2800 restalled to a Vig3200. But some experts believe I could possibly have a Vig3600. Those of you who own a Vig3200 or a Vig3600, with or without the #7 pump, could you please post the following characteristics of your converter?
My converter:
Shift extension = 5000 rpms
Light throttle off the line = 2500 rpms
Idle in drive = no movement, needs gas to move
Edit Gear Ratio = 3.23
I'd like to know what converter I have only so when people ask me about it, I can give them a proper answer and not mislead them. I am thoroughly happy with my Vig, regardless of the stall.

My converter is a Vig 3200 re-stalled from a 2800.
Shift extension = 4500 rpms
Light throttle off the line = 2000 - 2200 rpms
Idle in drive = no movement, needs gas to move
Best 60 = 1.62
Average 60 in the heat (DA >1800 85 – 95) = 1.72
Average 60 in the fall – winter (DA = <100 60 degrees) = 1.65

vig3200
extension: 4700-ish (hard to tell w/ a-tap and dont have the log with me anyway)
throttle off line: around 2k i guess? cant recall, but its not enough to notice with the exhaust on the car
idle in drive: it moves.

Yeah, that is what I am thinking based on these few responses (and from what I've been told). I would like to see more, though. This would also help those interested in a Vig, helps them select the proper converter for their needs.

I have 3:23 and shift extension is 4500-4700. Good overall driveability. Sounds like a 3600 or a very loose 3200 to me.

vig3600 here
im guessing mine drops to 5000-5200 on the shifts
my idles so high that mine moves if i take my foot off the gas. But still gas it needed to get moving good
3.23's also
best 60 is 1.58, but on nitto dragradials rolling into throttle
i think you have a 3600

Re: Owners: Vig3200 and Vig3600 (questions)
With a 5000rpm shift extension with 3.23 gears it's sound like a 3600 to me. My wife's car with a Vig3200 and 3.42 gears drops to about 4500rpms.
