Won't shift at WOT!?!?

Okay folks I have been around the world with this! I have an '05 GTO (4L65e). I put in a TSP 233/239 cam and PT4000 stall, with other usual bolt on's. No matter what I do it will not shift at WOT, it just hits the limiter. It pulls hard, does not seem like it's slipping. I went to a tranny shop and they put a scan tool on it, we went down the road, and did some test runs. He said it is not commanding an upshift...We came to the conclusion that it is the tune. Here is what I think: Because the tranny needs to see two things, the right RPM (in my case the shift points where set a 6700, 6600, 6500) and the right MPH. Well I think because of the stall I am seeing the right RPM, just not the right speed. I am reaching the RPM before the MPH and therefore it hits the rev limiter before it shifts. Am I correct on this? What would be a satisfactory MPH? Could I set the MPH say like at 10 on the 1-2, 20 on the 2-3...
TIA.

Thanks,
Hmmm, could someone elaborate on this? Will that effect low speed driveablity? Also in doing that will it look at only the RPM to shift? This thread might be in the wrong area..?....

Its in the right area I think , And yes that should cause it to look only at rpm to shift , But Im sure some tuner guys will chime in shortly , This is not my area of xpertise :)

Talk to Mike at G-Force they are located in Pearland.

Yes, that's (MPH) the probable explanation. With that converter
expect to see maybe 500-700 RPM more, for the same MPH at the
top end WOT. You have to bring the MPH down and the same is
true with the part throttle as well, if you liked those points and
their behavior w/ throttle before anyway.

If this is the problem then you should come off the limiter eventually
once the MPH catches up. Of course bumping umpteen times is not
pleasant but it will separate psychological from medical problems.
