M6 to TH350 Conversion, what am I missing?
So here is the deal. I have done alot of searches(right now its down though) and have found parts and peices, but wanted to get everything straight and make sure I know everything I need to get.
Things I'm sure I need:
-RMVB TH350
-Conversion Crossmember
-Cable operated shifter
-Trans Cooler
-Converter
-Flexplate
-Tunnel mount torque arm
-sheet metal to cover shifter tunnel hole
-TH350 poly-mount
Things I am unsure of:
-Different size driveshaft?
-Trans oil hard or soft lines to cooler?
-Additional wiring?
-PCM modifications?
-Auto or manual console?
-pedal assembly?
...and anything else I missed.
Thanks for your help, James.

You will also need a oil dipstick.
I used braided lines with AN fittings.
You will need to delete all tranny codes.
Stock driveshaft will work if you have the 9" tail.
Where are you getting the tranny from?

I will probably bend some tubing to the cooler and just use a small amount of hose for the connection.
Lokar the best dipstick?

I've found a dipstick.
So, is the 9" tailshaft the one to get for the TH350, so that the stock driveshaft will fit?
If I use my UMI TA with the BMR crossmember, I just need to use my UMI bushing that comes with the TA, is this correct or is there something I'm missing?
Thanks for the help, James.

I am getting the TCI torque converter that is made to work with the LS1 flexplate, so my question is, do I get the converter bolts for a 4L60e then?
Also, does anyone have the size of the flexplate to crank bolt? ARP Flywheel Bolts
All I can find are flywheel bolts, no flexplate bolts
Thanks, James.

Well to save money ont he flexplate have the torque converter comp. make the torque converter bolt up to the ls1 flywheel but still work with the TH350. And yes if you get the 9" tailshaft the stock driveshaft will work. About the wiring im not for sure but i think you wont need any extra or anything like that. The cooler lines i haven't even looked at them but im hoping to check it all out 2nite bc im gunna try and put mine in. But ive heard that the tranny will hit the o2 sensors so im hoping it misses them . Guess ill just have to wait and see 2nite what all problems will arise.

The m6 driveshaft fits with the 9" housing. But, in all honesty it looks like the driveshaft should be at least an inch or two longer. I used a stock 98 flexplate with a th350 converter desiged to mount to that flexplate. I also kept my manual console and am currently using a B&M Hammer shifter. Fits almost perfectly. Just weld up the original shifter hole and position your shifter where you want it. Mark and drill. Its really an easy swap.

On sdpc the the flexplate show to include mounting hardware and after reading I just need to get 20mm long grade 8 bolts to mount the converter to the flexplate. I will probably go ahead and buy the ARP bolts, just so I can use they're nuts and washers though.
I'm trying to get everything lined out so I'm not held up for a week on a tiny detail...but it will still probably happen anyway
Thanks for the responses. After I get done I am gonna post up everything that I used in one list with part numbers, searching for peices and parts here and there and trying to get all the info is kinda tiring.
