what would cause my tranny to do this???? heres the problem...when i leave it in drive or overdrive while running it, its shifts good, but when i try to shift it manualy it bounces off of the rev limiter...even if i shift it real early it still does it...but if i leave it in d or od..it doesnt...what would be causing this...it has a fresh filter and fluid in it...any help would be appreciated....its a 98Z....

I believe that the 98 computers were the worst out of all of the ls1 based fbodies. I would look at a scan tool and see what commands the computer is seeing when this happens.
