transmission problems ($50 paypal if your ansewer fix's it)
 

I have a 97z28 133,330 miles, camaro mostly stock. Anyways, i was having some fun friday night going down the freeway 60 to 120 runs. The next day the tranny starts acting funny it shifts late in first to secound gear shift.
I mean it revs all the way to 4,500 rpms before it wants to shift. if you ride it easy it will shift normal most of the times. Step on it and it will hit the rev limiter as soon as you let off it will shift. All other gears are fine and show no problems while driving! I checked the dip stick looks low, I added a court of fluid did not really move much on the dip stick. Fluid does not smell burnt. reg on the dip stick at the 80 degree mark on the dip stick(not sure if the dip stick is correct) because i put a hole quart in a it did not move) anyways first one that gives me advice that helps get the car back on the road normal gets $50 paypal. :eek2:

Sorry bro but sounds like you're tranny is sliping under power and you will soon need to get it rebuilt. you could try to flush it out and put new fluid in it. Also for a quick fix you can put some friction modifiers or some people I know with old trucks use to put sawdust in it. This is only a quick fix and it many or may not work, Use at you're own decresion.

why would it only be doing it in first gear instead off all gears or adlease two gears like i said after first gear all is good!

your 1st gear clutches are probably bad

the band isn't grabbing good enough to catch second. all those downshifts under load probably burnt the band pretty good.

the 2-4 band has lost its grip gurenteed

when do we find out who gets the 50 bucks?
