no 1st 2nd 3rd 4th or reverse.. just park and nuetral, locks up when put in gear what does this mean.. kinda a lil metal on metal sound and a learch as soon as the transmission drops into gear then it shuts the car off abruptly!!!! park and nuetral work much better... but it kinda feels weird.... wtf is going on.. im swapping to a th350 but im just wondering what the hell is wrong now, and if i can get it moving relatively easy i may.. also wondering what chance the fuddle converter isn't damaged ect

could the converter be improperly seated??? i mean or could it have messed up itself?? transmission has brand new internals.. everything in the valve body appears to be hoooked up.. its as if something grabs the converter and keeps it from moving and kills the engine.. does thatmake sense?

well the converter iself could have and issues or the trans could have a sticking valve or solenoid . Or the car could be comanding lockup for some reason , To eliminate that unplug the harness from trans and see if it still does it if not your dealing with and electronics issues ranging from shorted wire to a PCM If it does it with the plug un done your dealing with a transmission/converter issue.

it didn't do it anymore.. but it didn't do anything else.. i had no manual control whatsoever... like i thought if that was unplugged it just locked it in 3rd gear or something but i had nothing
didn't jump and cut off though.. so that means its an electrical problem?

wait i have third i think and nothing else.... and its a lil shaky.. couldn't take it out exhuast not hooked up plus, tag wasn't on ect... could this have anything to do with the tc selonoid

yea like u said i think its the tcc seloniod wires that were messed up and repaired before and they got rescrewed when i was rebuilding the internals...
im going to play with it and find out, thanks for ur help

no most def electrical and in the trans.. im hoping that just cutting power to that seloniod until i can replace it gets me rolling.. i guess teh converter just wont lock up on the highway.. but atleast it wont be locked up all the time

yea i wont have fourth... but hell i just honestly want 1st and 2nd.. i didn't pay the taxes and registration a few months ago b/c it was setting anyways so i gotta go get a new lil 07' sticker for the plate anyways before she goes anywhere very far..
im swapping in the th350... ill be selling the otherwise working 4l60e for prolly 100-150$ figure somebody needs a core to save 500+$, and the converter for prolly the same.. pretty much i live in an apartment and its gotta be gone, i just want to proove it works..

rather this works or not big big THANKS to performabuilt for all his help and awnsering the longer pm's lol.. a sponsor is a sponsor, but one that volunteers to help and awnsers ur pm's when ur not buying something is probably one that will when you do buy something and need help.. i read a lot of times a product doens't work and people suddenly cant get in touch with anyone. well people should really think about buying from those sponsors who are always out here helping and replying with no money or real reason for them to be doing so.

no go, still third gear only.. cut the wire, plugged back up the harness.. fixed the problem, but now its in 3rd gear only modei guess b/c its throwing a code saying that seloniod quit on me
