Default Feeler: 4l60e tranny or TH350

Alright, I just put a stage 2 4L60e transmission in my car. My motor blew and now i am going back with about a 650-700hp nitrous setup. I want to know anyone's opinion on whether to keep the 4l60e in my car or put a TH350. My main concern is whether or not the stage 2 built 4l60e will hold up to 700rwhp. If not how much it would cost me to build it so that it will hold the power i am shooting for. Or would it be cheaper to put the TH350 in my car? I have talked to some people and they said that i will lose up to 50rwhp with the TH350. Is that true? Can anyone that knows what they are talking about help me out?

Go Th350/400
They are cheap to rebuild and you can build them bulletproof for cheaper

I would go to the TH350. I'm pulling the one out of my car that I just had rebuilt. By far the best tranny I have run. Just changing it to go to a glide for my new turbo setup!

If i go with the TH350 will i lose a lot of hp or not? 50rwhp is a lot. I figure it cost about $1,000 for 50hp. If that is the case i would rather spend $1,000 on my 4l60e so that it can hold the hp. Is $1,000 enough money to do this considering i already have a stage 2 tranny?

OH!, AND I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS IS MY DAILY DRIVER. I DRIVE ABOUT 30 MILES ONE WAY EVERY DAY TO WORK.

Na not if your coming from an auto. maybe if you were comming from 6 speed...
Its not all about HP at all especially with you wanting to do a 700hp N2o setup..
Do you want to be fast?? Consistat? and not break **** all the time Th350/400..
If you wanna be a dyno queen get a 6speed...

I didn't spray when my motor blew. It just happened. Idk. I am not telling anyone what engine i am getting. Me and a friend of mine are going to put it together so that no one will know what i got. Is it going to be 650rwhp or 800rwhp . Bye Bye 10 bolt.

I had a th350 put in my car...I stopped driving it daily after that because it is such a pain in the *** on the highway. No O.D.=sucky daily driver in my opinion.

Exactly what he said!! I went through several 4l60e's and included in those were three RockOn stage 3 4060e's which completly blew ***** IMO!! Thats cause they were rated at 700hp or so and I was nowhere near that. I now have a th-350 and it runs like a champ. My car has gone the quickest so far with the th-350. You might loose 50 rwhp at the dyno but you will run better 1/4 mile times plus save yourself alot of headaches in the future.
