why shouldn't i use a hughes stall???? ok...my dad wants to rebuild my transmission for me as a graduation present, and the redneck who is doing it insist that hughes is best. They dont realize that the newer cars like ls1's do not use the old school hughes, b&m, etc. Please give me some good reason why not to go with the hughes and use a vig or yank or something like that. |
have someone else rebuild it |
Hughes makes good converters, last time I heard. You just wanna spend money on top of the line. Doesn't mean you HAVE to. |
Hughes makes a very good product. Keep in mind if you go to the track and talk to any of the fast old school drag racers the names you will get will be Neal Chance, Coan, and Hughes when it comes to converters. Most of those guys don't know what a Yank or Vigilante is. I personally run a Coan converter and am very pleased with it. |
being a gift, i can't complain, and im sure it's a good product, but everyone talks about the vig, yank, etc. but i will let ya'll know how it works out. thanks |
That's just the guys you hear about. Hughes and TCI are two of the most commonly used converters I've seen around here. Edge is a great one too. |
awesome, thank you all |
