Default Aftermarket torque converters available for the 6L80E?

Does Precision or Yank or anyone else have aftermarket converters yet for these transmissions?

Any before/after results or other information that you can share?

Yank is th eonly one that I know of that is currently making on. Due to the very limited cores available for these things, it is going to be expensive or a while for the mainstream converter manufacturer's to come up with something.

Thanks for the update!

I have a couple of years to wait but I'm sure Precision and Yank will be making thousands of these in the next 24 months.

Not sure how nice a piece you are looking for... but typically the stock 13" converter stall can be taken up ~ 2500 rpm~ depending on HP and vehicle weight. We have done that for several of our budget minded customers locally.

Just a thought.

First let myself introduce... myself. I am Chris Sehorn from Circle D Specialties in Houston, TX. Just as most sponsers, we have been in business for 30+ years, just new to LS1Tech. I have my converter already in a few LS1's and such on this board.

Back on to the topic, CHRISPY

I have a converter for the 6l80. I have tested 3 and so far, no problems. Chuck over at HPE has put them in. We have played with the stall, but I still think it needs more. Currently they are about 2500 rpm, but I can go higher if you wanted. I have attached some pics, not sure if I did it right though

Chris

PS - I have more pics if interested
