Default tci flexplate came with unknown piece?? help

i got a brand new tci flexplate and converter going in
with the flexplate there came a new bearing type deal that can slide into the crankshaft end and the other end sits on the converter end perfectly. now do i put that in there. cause what if i didnt put a new flex plate on and used my stock one and i wouldnt have the new " bearing" because the hole opening are the same on both flexplates?
if anyone knows what i'm talking about
thanks

please dont use it, my dumbass killed a trans and motor because i thought it was supposed to go in there, and i was rushing, it was dark, incompetent, etc...

if you look at it long enough, you will realize that the converter will contact the crank and you'll still have a good 3/8" between the converter feet and the flexplate.

You ONLY use the Crank spacer with regular SBC GENI/II or BBC converters. Correctly Built LSx converters do not need it
