Should go right in you will need the proper bell housing and tail housing (unless you replcate the torque bar) for the application.

My torque arm is aftermarket and not mounted to the tail shaft any more, and why do in need a new bell housing ? The trans, it was mounted to a 5.3L witch is the same LS style engine .I have the original torque converter and flywheel, Right now i have the 05 LS2 truck 6.0L block (now 6.8L) in my car right now with the stock 00 WS6 M6 bell housing bolted up to it,with no modification at all.

You're right. V8 trucks and V8 F-cars use the same bell given the model years you specified.

I was just stating that because I did not know if you had the bellhousing but sounds like your pretty much set for the swap .

The tailhousing is different yes or no? If so, is it as easy as buying an ls1 tailhousing and bolting it on ? Any other issues witht the truck trans?

Since you are not using the torq arm mount you can use any tail housing including the one for the truck
