What's with this new ratio?

Ok here's the deal. Got an 4l60e, with a Compushift controller behind a LME built LS7 with a 3.73 in back. In drive and WOT the tires just are roasted from stop to rev limit 7K, so far so good, but the tranny won't shift into 2nd gear-it just hits the limiter before shift. The controller guys said that I'm probably just spinning thru 2nd gear and hit the rev limit because of my set up. He said that it is close to 7:1 and until I get traction the rev limiter will be hit. The ratio is the 4l60's 1st gear plus my rear gear 3.07+3.73= 6.8. For comparison a 4.10 rear with a 4l80 is 6.58. Any thoughts?

To compare ratios from 2 different systems like that, you need to multiply the numbers together, not add. 3.07 * 3.73 = 11.45 compared to 4.10 * ??. Higher number = lower gear

That is the ratio that Compushift gave me. Adding the 1st gear of the tranny to the rear gear, the 4l80 has a 1st gear of 2.48, therefore, with a 4.10 it is 6.58. I mentioned that set-up because it is a common, high HP, set-up that I see alot. I only mentioned it for comparison.
