Default who builds the best high performance 4l60e

I know FLP and RPM are both suppose to be good...but who is the best. Personally i am hopping for 800 rwhp and i would really like to stick with the 4l60e does anyone make one that will hold me?

i second that^. FLP and RPM as well as PerformaBuilt are notoriously good companys. dont skimp on the components that follow after the tranny, they snap and twist and brake as well.

^^ what he said..I have a performabuilt and so far i love...granted i'm not making even half the power you are. I have heard great things as well tho about FLP and RPM. But i think your gonna have to go a 4l80 if you want to honestly hold that much power somewhat reliably

so even with completely upgraded/specially hardened parts includeing input and output shafts it has no chance...i know I saw some advertised for 700 hp so i thought there might be one with an 800 or more rating as well

We race year round, and the most a Xtreme built 4L60E will hold is around 600. Good advice above.

Please, go for a 4L80E. If you get even the world's best 4L60E, you're goning to be on here in a few weeks asking who can fix your blown up 4L60E. The 4L60E is a fine transmission in most cases, but the flaws are in its design. No matter what parts you put in it, it was simply never designed to hold that kind of power. GM lists the 4L60E as a Medium Duty transmission whereas the 4L80E is a Heavy Duty transmission. 800 rwhp is heavy duty, and no 4L60E will hold that for long. You may get a few passes out of it, but it's only a matter of time until it completely explodes.

It doesn't matter if someone rates it for 700 or 800 hp. It won't hold up, trust me. I wouldn't put a 4L60E in my car if I was far over 500 rwhp, but that's just me.

I'm very pleased with my RPM 4L60e. I'm over 600 rwhp with spray.
