Question Having Yank SS3600 installed Tuesday...couple questions??

Hey guys,

I am having a Yank SS3600, B&M Trans cooler, and Transgo shift kit installed on Tuesday, and I have a couple questions:

1. Will I need to have my shift points altered via tuning, or will my stock shift points be fine?
2. For you guys that have experience with the Transgo shift kit, how many washers should I expect the installer to use if I want aggressive street manners (80% street, 20% track)?
3. Will I enjoy the difference in the way it feels as compared to stock?

Thanks for your answers in advance!

Hey Man, You might want a small adjustment in the tune... Especially in the lock-up settings. And for what its worth on the HD2 shift kits I always use 1 washer in my builds.

Thanks for the info, I just dropped it off today and he said he was going to use 1 washer, and he was going to change my shift points down to around 5800 so that I actually shift close to 6000. I didn't mention anything about the lock, but he is good so I am sure he knows what he is doing.

mine locked @35 mph before tune,-set for 55
also would unlock at times on highway- had to change misfire table
also raised idle up a little, 900 I think
go easy for 100 miles then hold on when you nail it
I got half a sec off the 1/4 mile+ awesome smokeshows at 20 mph!!!

Is there such a thing as a "break in period" with a stall?? I have heard it is better to take it easy on it for a while...but how long is a while?
