Default Transmission service port above linkage, safe for temp sender?

Just want to make sure that sticking that long temp sender into my trans in this port pictured below (above the linkage selector) won't cause any problems.

Thanks in advance..

It will not cause any problems its a presure port. Temps may read a bit higher than true average but it will work.

Thanks, it's setup and working

I've read about the possible higher temp readings. I plan to put a deeper truck pan later on and have a bung welded in
