Well we need to determine the nature of the DTC's. Have you scanned it yet?

There are a multitude of conditons that will dictate a "limp-in" situation.

What was the most recent work that was done to the vehicle?

havent had it scanned yet...just limped it home and walked in the door. Last thing i had done was oil change about 200 miles or so ago and tires balanced.

Ok, well like I mentioned there are several components and conditions that have enough of a range of authority to create this condition.

Did you try to "reset" it by turning the ignition off and restrating the engine?

Get back to us with the DTC's as soon as you get it scanned. That is going to be the 1st step here.

I see you have a 3500 stall. Have you had the car tuned for it and have you had PO757 test for code deleted? I relalize you may have been running it a while but I have seen it take a while to show up , Once you turn the car off and it sets does it return to normal ?

thanks for the quick replies, but im going to let my car set over night and crank it up tomorrow afternoon and see if the code is still there....and if it is take it to AutoZone, let them get the code for me. I had the converter installed about 25,000-30,000 miles ago.

I would recommend having the PCM scanned whether the lamp is illuminated or not. The reason is, even if the lamp is off the DTC(s) will most likely be stored in the "Memory Codes" section of the module. If so that would be most useful information....

I won't be online until late evening as I have some personal business to attend to... so please don't be put off if I don't get right back to you after you get the info up.

P0757 is the code guys. Shifts were fine today...no "Limp-In" situation, but of course the SES light was still there. And ive had the converter in for about 20 000 miles

Well PO757 is the code normally associated with the stall . Now while its possible that the 2-3 shift solenoid does have and issue What I would do since the problem is aparently gone now is watch it if it happens intermitantly I would do two things , I would one replace the soleniod they are chaep and eay to replace no harder than changing the filter. Then I would also have the test for that code removed. And your problem should be solved. In either case.

No the solenoids do not come with the kit but that would be a great time to install one. Now as for the TG kit it of itself will not fix the code . As I said I would replace the solenoid , And have the test for the code removed .

Since I am not to far from you I have a the 4l60-3 that came out of my car. It had 86,000-miles. I had it at Tick Performance, it has a brand new transgo shift kit with 3-washers installed. I was going to put it back in but with my head and cam package I had to upgrade to the performabuilt stage 2.

With your mods it might be worth while to have your tranny rebuilt. I know money is always tight around Christmas but with the power you are making its only a matter of time.
