If this Vig doesn't do the trick than it's almost certain to be the tranny. I just hope all the parts aren't just fine and the PCM is causing the problem.

just as an FYI, Mike uses a tech II to manually lock the converter on the dyno... Mine was having problems staying locked as well if that means anything... I had a ST3500 for a year without a single problem and this TP4400 has been nothing but problems. Still runs good at the track, but shudders under light accel when locked.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

The big probem is u cant tune a car correctly without locking the verter on the dyno.Lets not even get into the shudder problems under load when driving the car,I had big problems there too.

When you say the Yank was draining oil, was it leaking?

Called the shop today to see how things went with the new Vig. They did 3 dyno runs.
The first went flawlessly. No slippage.
The second and third pulls, slippage again.
I think I'm going to Orlando tomorrow to pick it up, I'm waiting to hear back from Mike tonight. It drives nice so I'll see how it works out and I can bring it back when they figure out what it can be.
I think it's a PCM problem all the way. I only think that becuae it's tranny #2 and converter #3.

Well, the new Vig didn't fix my problem.

Re: Tranny/verter GURU's needed

Keep us posted if it is a PCM issue as I am very anxious to hear the fix... I find that kind of odd since I only swapped converters, no other changes between my two yanks... Keep us informed!

Also 2 trannies that both checked out fine. And now that I think back, I think we sent the PCM back to Ed Wright for a small change inbetween the 1st and 2nd tranny swap. An idle change I think. And the first tranny and the first converter, when dynoed, did not slip at all.

If you decide to change PCM tuners, MMS did me good. Just passed 7000 miles and 30 passes without an slipping. It's LS1 edit friendly too if you have to delete any B1S2 codes.
