FLT is the best! Not nearly as many break as the other guys. Hell, I can't remember the last time I saw a FLT trans break. It is simple: FLT builds better transmissions and is a better company. That is why they have been around longer than the others, and fix the other guy's broken transmissions. They have been proven in VERY FAST cars and trucks. I think it is a no brainer.

Performabuilt makes a great transmission. My GTO is a daily driver, I got the stage 2, and it's very friendly on daily driving, and takes a beating.

My gto with supercharger weighs in at 4100lbs. It's running 11.1@123 and I've been using there tranny for a year now, it hasn't missed a beat yet. It shifts so fast, that I just grin everytime I run down the track. The guys with a manual GTO hate racing a normal automatic, much less a high quality transmission like this one.

There customer service has been top notch, and if I ever have a reason to buy another built tranny in the future, I will surely buy it from them.

Hey I work for a huge retail company and all I can say is customer service is where it is all us racers are looking for is a unbreakable transmission and somenone who stands behiend there product. That is why I chose performabuilt You can always call frank or get ahold of him on here his doors at his work does not close shop at 5 hell I have talked to him at 10:00 pm about my tranny before I purchased one that is why I went with Frank. Hell the guy has passion for his product and make things right. There are very good tranny builders on this website my buddy has a FLT and it works great. The one advice I can give all of you and this has happen to me DO NOT GO TO YOUR LOCAL TRANNY SHOP I SPENT OVER 2300 for a 1400.00 rebuild here locally at a transmisson shop here in springfield mo. And they said we can build a tranny that will hold over 900 B.S. before Had the dam thing in and out 4 times in one summer. Hey my performabuilt tranny I havent done crap to it except check the fluid.

I went with an ACE 80E, but if I had stayed with the 60, I would have made the same decision. Before you buy, just talk to Gil. If nothing else, he'll give you some good and honest advice and that's hard to find in this industry.

I don't know about ya'll, but I think its great that the tranny sponsors have stepped up their game so much that we are having a bragging contest on all of these guys. A few years ago I got burned on several trannies by what were supposedly reputable companies. Gil and ACE helped me get my swap done and by the looks of the rest of these posts, the other guys are coming through also. Thanks to all the sponsors!!!!

We have tested and hammered trying to get the transmission to slip and it's stil solid as a rock. With over 300 hard low 10/high 9 second passes, it's still nailing the shift points.

Spend your $$ where you chose, but please do your homework so you only have to do it once. The 4L60Es are not horse manure if built properly.

Yes I am a huge supporter of Circle D, but there's a good reason for it. There's a lot of guys I race with that through in the towel and gave up their OD out of frustration because they didn't use the right builder and now I am lengths ahead of them and out 60ft them at the track. We can also run 75 mph down the freeway comfortably.

Damn I guess after having the 4L60 out for 15 years someone got it right I can't believe theres a 4L60E doing what his car has done!!!

We have a great group of sponsors that will take care of you... you can't go wrong....

If you have a 4l60 living in the 9's your one of maybe a very small % of people who do. At some point you simply have to realize its alot like the th250 which is a great trans in a 2600lb car. Simply put they are junk. Once you cross the bottom 11's. it bes to consider other options especially if the vehicle wieght is over 3100lbs.

I crossed bottom 11s a long time ago.LOL. Junk....I don't feel that at all. We all have an opinion and I respect that, but until I find the limits of this 4L60E I'm going to keep on keep'n on. We are at over 300 passes on this tranny without being touched and it hasn't blinked. The builders have advanced and the materials have advanced to a level that meets my needs. I need my OD as much as anyone and yeah I'll give it up once I feel I have to, but I doubt it'll be any time soon.

I'm up for a 60-80 mph roll race on the Texas mile That's where our car will shine. Oh yeah ...we'll be lock'n her up too

Thanks to performabut I am now an expert at swapping 4l60e trans. The first took sseveral hours the second I was down to four and the third I was able to swap in just over two hours. Three trannys and four torque converters in under 500 miles must be a new record. I can tell you who the next one will not come from. Warranty or not three strikes and im out 1700 bucks. If I had not already installed this one under warranty I would have sent it to one of the reputable shops ---ACE or FLT to rebuild my new level II trans before I even installed it.
