if its in reverse and you rev it high and it starts inching back , most likely its the reverse clutches check the trans oil and if its purplish brown most likely you need to get it rebuilt

No reverse would be a mechanical issue like mentioned its it was sudden I have seen the LOW/REVERSE piston and the REVERSE INPUT drum piston crack and cause this. But your definatly gonna be rebuilding or replacing

Well if it was a built trans It should the beast shell with your setup , I have never seen a beast strip the teeth out. If it didn't have one thats what you should replace with, And why are you buying it I would think that would be under warranty. Or is it a labor only warranty no hard parts I have seen some written that way.

The teeth on the inside of the case were all the gears go, inside the tranny.

You mean the lugs on the inside of case where the low/center support goes completely stripped, WOW haven't seen that , I have seen then worn badly but broken all the way around though no.

I have seen that before, at the bottom where the sprag goes? It usaly means they didnt put the case saver (the little spring) in all the way or in at all.
