Default Is there a "stock style" dipstick & tube to work with 4L80E and 4th gen F body?

I have a 2000 Trans Am with 4L80E and a Lokar flexible transmission dipstick setup...that I hate...

Is there one that "fits" these cars with no, or mild modifications? Specifically, one like a STOCK one, that you can actually fill from under the hood, using a funnel, not on a lift like I do now.

The car runs stock, flipped truck manifolds, so no header fitment issues at all...

What I currently have to do is remove dipstick tube, and fill transmission (at the housing) with small hand pump, the reinstall the POS Lokar setup.

Any insight appreciated

Regardless of which dipstick, even the madman, you will need to verify proper "full" mark

No doubt.
Now is perfect time for this, since I wanted to service the transmission before the new season starts a month from now.
I just do not want to subject myself to the cruel and unusual punishment of refilling it with the Lokar...with their adapter or not, lol

The Jake's version, their site asks for the length...which is unknown to me since it's a non-OEM application.
Heck, if I knew the length, I'd just find one on RockAuto for 20 bucks and put a few bends in it myself, lol

Where you having trouble with the Lokar tube because they take 3 weeks to fill, lol. I had one years ago, it came with the fill adapter. As I remember I filed some lines in the adapter to allow air to get out, which helped, but I brought a sandwich with me so I didnt get hungry during the fill. I think they have one locks in the case now, so NHRA would accept them, lol. Unfort. I may have to run one in the Hornet.

I will give someone a GREAT deal on a used Lokar dipstick and tube soon...lol.

I have the adapter, which really didn't help the process speed any, IMO.
Couple years ago, what I would do was use a small "gear oil" type cap, squeezing a couple tablespoon-fuls at a time.
Then, I thought of the "remove the tube from the case" idea, which requires a hand pump of some sort to pump from the jug, to the transmission housing...
Then, final Hail Mary was the adapter, even though I knew it still would suck...
I'm looking forward to just dumping fluid into a normal transmission funnel, like a normal car...

Damn, I had no idea that Jake had these. My fault for not asking. I have this cheap Lokar knock off pictured here that will probably have the same issues. Might just have to return this one and get the better one.

Me neither.
That looks like the same type my son got for his LS swap/Turbo 400. His is actually loose where it goes into the trans case. Could be band-aided by using a larger o-ring, but that's not the "fix". The real Lokar is at least plenty snug, but same PITA as the one you got.

From Jake's, I got the dipstick & tube, and a fat boy sized shirt, shipping to my door, grand total, was $110 or so. Subtract $20+ if you delete the shirt.

Get the madman dipstick fits perfectly and is easy to us. Plus filling the trans is much easier with a Madman because it’s just like stock. Those other ones are a pita to find a good place to mount it on a f body and the trying to reach it to check the fluid when it’s hot sucks. Then the handles usually get pretty hot to hold too. You have to fill the trans fluid from the bottom because trying to fill it with that tube also sucks

Well, she said it would ship either that day (2/8/21), or the next, so I have to give them a call.
I really didn't expect to see the part yet, due to how slow/busy most of the shippers are lately, but at least I could follow it with the tracking info.

About every parts supplier in TX has a delay in shipping/tracking. Snow might not seem like any big deal to some midwesterners...but in TX they have about 0 removal equipment, nobody there has snow tires, and half the people have never driven in snow...so even if you have and you'd be fine...all the other idiots on the road would be a liability.

I think Jake's is closed today (Monday 2/15/21)

I'm sure they'll get ya taken care of.
