Where's my first gear ?
 

My shifter has the following 2-D-(D)-N-R-P
No 1 (first).
Both my friends T/A & Formula have a first gear (they have LS1 cars).
Is this normal ?
How on earth can I select first gear ?
Any light shed on this would be appreciated.

Your car was likely and original 273 geared car and for some reason GM put a block in the shifter to disallow manual 1 . Remove console and remove the little stop they put there and you will be able to pull back to manual 1
