4L60-E with 3.23's I have a 2000 Trans Am A4 3.23 rear, is it common for the A4 cars to always bark the tires on the 1-2 shift even with the TCS, AC on and 2 people in the car, on all road types??? the car is 100% bone stock. |
Re: 4L60-E with 3.23's yes my car do it (2000 TA )with 17x11 in the back |
Re: 4L60-E with 3.23's does it just do it lightly... my car will just go "chirp" chirp" twice quickly, but not very loud. |
Re: 4L60-E with 3.23's Yes, fun isn't it... :burn: I can control the amount of chip by setting the shift firmness and shift times using a Predator hand-held programming tool. :chug: |
Re: 4L60-E with 3.23's mine will just ''chirp'' and the low trac light will come on |
Re: 4L60-E with 3.23's Yes, it is actually. TCS doesn't respond that fast, the tires always spin a tad before the TCS catches up. As for the AC, the clutch on the AC compressor disengages when the computer senses WOT. That's to protect the compressor from pressure spikes and being over-revved. I believe it disengages at 60% or 80% throttle (based on the TPS sensor) or something like that. So the AC being on has no bearing on power. That goes for pretty much every car ever made, so next time someone says "I lost because the AC was on" tell them :bs: |
Re: 4L60-E with 3.23's Mine used to when stock. I dunno anymore because I haven't been able to go to WOT in first gear without incinerating the tires instantly. I get some tirespin on second gear downshifts up until 50-55 mph or so. I run GS-C tires on the street is part of my problem. I don't like nittos. Jordan |
