Vehicle Upfitters Wanted We are looking to hire a couple additional installers. Our shop is located in Olathe, KS (Kansas City Area). Contact information is in the Link.

Ka-Comm, Inc., a leader in critical communications since 1960, has an opening for a Full-Time Install Technician in Olathe. Ka-Comm designs, sells, installs, and maintains communication systems for public safety agencies around the State of Kansas. These systems range from conventional voting to trunk systems. In addition to the Olathe location, Ka-Comm operates facilities in Emporia, Manhattan, and Salina.
This position requires ability to diagnose system issues and resolve technical problems. Attention to detail and knowledge of metal fabrication a plus. Must be able to work independently and on a team. Major responsibilities include, but not limited to installation of electronic equipment, RF communications equipment, video recording systems, and mobile data systems. Use of personal hand tools required.
Ideal candidates would possess a strong knowledge of 12 volt systems, relays, basic fabrication skills using wood, steel, and plastics. The ability to diagnose electrical problems with new and used equipment using a multi meter. Competent disassembling and reassembling vehicle interiors and exteriors.
We are looking for professionals with strong work ethic and stable work history. Compensation based on qualifications and experience. Benefit package after 30 days. Pay is dependent on individuals skill set.
Shop hours are 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday (Some overtime may be required)
