When are they going to let us row our own across all models?

I know autos can be serious (let alone a DSG setup) but there's something fun about throwing your own gears in a muscle car(or muscle jeep).

To me, an 8 speed auto means a transmission that approaches 280 lbs.

sounds lame to me... i'd rather have a 6M 392 SRT8 over an 8speed auto supercharged version. whats this thing gonna weigh, 4200lbs?
