I've said it before and I'll say it again: at least they acknowledge their problems and fix them at no cost to the customer. No company will ever get everything right on all vehicles; what sets them apart is how they handle the issue, which Toyota has done very well IMO.

as far as im aware recalls arent optional and must be fixed at no cost.
now are they more professional in how they handle them? possibly. i was at a toyota dealer earlier today and it looked like the serv. mngr and ***. serv. mngr standing in front of a bunch people explaining something. i assume it concerned this present situation.

Where have you been for 10 years. Up until the gas pedal sticking, Toyota didn't stand up to a dam thing. Sludge problems in engines, structural deficiencies n SUV roofs...the list goes on and on. They hid every single one up until the gov't forced them to do something.
but what they have been so far is better run than the big three. theyre better at noticing market needs and adjusting to them quickly.
toyota still makes a great vehicle but theyre running into problems the domestic automakers had. QC hasnt kept up with its growth.
ill still never buy one. imo theyre a boring brand but thats what a lot of buyers want.

Damn, so much for all of the "oh but those cars are so perfect" assumptions and over hype LOL.
