How many GM's have been recalled this year? Your thread just made me wonder. I saw 4.8M as of the end of March, but I know there's apparently been more than 2M since ... Any actual numbers?
This shouldn't come close to the biggest ever and honestly, that's a shock considering how many years and models have been recalled... and the fact it's GM, the world's best seller for most, if not all those years.

I just saw a "news flash" saying GM has recalled 2.4M more today... WTH! I was only paying attention at the end, but if that's correct... more than 13.5M this year... WOW!
Yup... confirmed here... http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/21/bu...pgtype=article which, ironically, is attached to the link you offered above, today. It's simply GOT to end soon... I really believe this is all about image... they're simply recalling everything with a notable issue, as well as possible and within reason...
That is a great idea to me, because it certainly builds customer confidence that GM will stand behind its products and they NEED that! It's just not an easy number to take, in totality.

I'm not dragging in the other links, but I noticed yesterday, GM is now at 15 million for the year... It is, as I suspected, HELPING their image, according to at least 1 story I read yesterday.
