I do believe this is the first time the Challengers have led anything in sales in their respective segment.

Could be, everyone will dress up there V6 with a Hellcat hood and wheels and be badasses all over the street! Fairly typical of all the V6 pony cars I see locally.

Cant see that, ALL of the parts for the hellcat are uber expensive, in fact on the forums, the v6 crowd is waaaaay in the minority, the majority want to be able to say "they got a hemi!" Even though the v6 is 300 hp, the hemi crowd waaaay out numbers them. And a lot of those hemi owners want the upgrade to the hellcat or 2015 scat pack or shaker options.

Not just supply, I'm sure.
There are thousands of Mustangs on order... all 2015's. I'm convinced many people are simply holding off till the 15's hit dealer lots and they can get a grand deal on a 14, or just get the 15. It makes sense and if I wanted a 14, I'd just wait(till the end of this month, I suspect) and if I wanted a 15, I'd be forced to wait.
Anyway, this may be the 1st time Challenger ever outsold Mustang, but I don't think it came unexpectedly. Well, to a degree it must've ... who really thought the Challenger would maintain decent(for Challenger) sales??
