Has Dodge gone too far with the new Demon Challenger? Even the NHRA wants nothing to do with it because it's banned. I mean a high 9sec car sold with a drag pack wheel setup that's street legal.. I can see a lot of folks getting into trouble with that thing lol.. one seat is standard (of course) the other seats are an option.. Nice looking car but not really feeling the fender flares.. What's your thoughts?
The pitch guy rubbed me the wrong way, especially with the whole "It's too fast for the NHRA" spiel, conveniently leaving out the fact that it's missing safety equipment to cut costs, and that's why it's been "banned"
I'm not saying that it isn't any of those things, I'm just saying it's cheap marketing calling it "so fast it's been banned..." Yeah they wouldn't sound as good, but if it's sole purpose is a street legal drag car, shouldn't it be legal to run in the only sanctioning body for drag racing in the US? Perhaps a simple 6 point and "So fast we had to add in chassis support to make it legal!"
