Default LS-powered P-51 Mustang rep

There's a video of this baby flying here, but I can't embed it in the forum. I didn't realize you could actually use an LS in an airplane. But maybe the rules are different for experimental stuff? Have you ever heard of this before?

Thats really cool but seems like it would be really underpowered. The orginal engines had like 2100hp right????

Ive heard of LS engines in older planes were they actually had a much higher power/weight/size ratio than the production engines.

I think that sounds about right. And the originals were WAY bigger than these... The power to weight isn't surprising either, given the LS, and how far we've come with engines in general.

I've always been fascinated by the fact that today's engines are just as good as the big RR engines found in these old airplanes. It's crazy what these small block Chevys can accomplish.
