Well as GM so often liked to do with the F-Bodies and the Corvette, Audi is releasing a "special edition" without anything special under the hood or under the driver. About the only thing that's special about these S4s are the new version of Quattro they utilize but IIRC all S4s are getting this new equipment that was first announced on the B7 RS4. Anyway Audi will build 250 "special edition S4." Honestly with the RS4 making 420hp and the S4 making 80 less at 340hp, would it have killed them to add another 20 or so hp to the mix. IIRC the previous gen D2 S8 used a 360hp version of Audis corporate 4.2L V8. Some suspension tweaks wouldn't have hurt either. Oh well.
