Default The New Boss Hurricane Mystery Motor

Ford is readying this motor for the long awaited appearance of the new Camaro Z/28 & SS for late 2008.
The single overhead cam iron mod motor is said to have run deep into the nines on E-85 ethanol with no power adders. While an all aluminum four valve is also being tested with one version sporting twin turbos & GDI .
Its begining to look like 2008 & 2009 are going to be very,VERY interesting times .
If your street machine doesn't run in the high elevens you might as well stay on the porch . General Motors calls their version "DIG" direct injection gasoline-Ford calls their's "GDI" gasoline direct injection .

This supposed BOSS 9s motor is rumored as something they'll sell crated? Wasn't this their plan with the Cammer engine we see little of? A 9s ready-to-purchase motor from Ford just seems like a long shot. Where is the article you saw this in?

According to Hot Rod Magazine the test engine was in a mustang body & chassis when it ran in the nines . May all be hype . All I know is what I read in the mags. & web.

Hey ,
You never know !!!
Fords usually late to the party. Takes um a year or two to talk the bean-counters into lettin go of the necessary funds , so then they spend another year doin catch-up work . Thats what I like about General Motors , they don't have to pull the bean-counters kickin & screamin into the 21's century . Now that Roger dodger's gone , & Lutz points his finger & says "JUST DO IT" , things are startin to come around . Its the new GTO that I'm waitin on . I'm sure Lutz's knows GM only has an opening in that boomers window just so long and it will close. I figure five maybe ten years at most & this arms race will end for another 20 or 30 years .
