Good question. We simply unbolt it, remove the stock mounting bracket then secure it higher in the front facia cavity. No modification to the lines or the front end is necessary. We also relocate the horns for intercooler clearance.

i had called up to sts like 3 months ago to ask them about doing a v, a fellow called me back asap and told me they were finishing up the 1st cts-v as we spoke... hmm bout time to see a damn pic.
fellow also told me kit would be in the $8k range and the 1st 5 kits would be discounted $500 roughly so that feedback can be given, bend this pipe more, extend this silicone hose more... etc...
all i know is i want one,..

the gloves are off.
3-6 months? mine took 3 weeks and is superior to that system, and i have no R&D department...sts system has no clearance for a lowered car, pipes run over/under moving parts, rubber turbo hose feedline, (not braided steel with russel fittings), cutting corners with cheap worm clamps,bad oiling scavenging design to valve cover/dipstick, rattle box install.
(no rubber mounting with hot or cold pipes)
can you say..., "wtf is all that rattling"?

The process of designing a kit that will potentially be installed on hundreds of different cars is much more involved than designing a "one off custom kit". When designing the kit I also try to take into consideration that not everyone has specialized tools and a rack in which to install the kit. Basic handtools and some jackstands are all that is required. I also do as little modification to the vehicle as possible. As you can see from the pictures at the begining of the thread the mufflers are cut off just after the rear end and our system is installed in place of the mufflers. It's as simple as that. We utilize all the factory rubber hangers and exhaust heat shielding. Once the piping has been designed we then have to go through the extensive process of building jigs off of the prototype pipes so that they can be mass produced with accuracy. This is what it takes to design a kit that we can reproduce and know that each one will perform as good as the last. This is but the tip of the iceburg when developing a kit for mass production so you can see that it takes more time that a kit which will not be mass produced. I am in no way saying that a custom kit is any easier to build. I actually prefer to build custom kits as it lets me really get creative without haveing to worry about cost or the installation process. My personal vehicle is a chevy truck with a custom remote mount system. I went this route because I truly love the design and building of the turbo system. Going custom allowed me to pay attention to every little detail in the system without worring if the system would fit on any other truck. It also illistrates the versitility of the STS universal system.
The oiling system consists of yes a braided stainless supply line with twin oil scavange pumps, (1 for each turbo) high quality pushlock hose from the turbos to the pumps and again braided stainless lines from the pumps to the valvecovers. It is much easier to remove the valve covers for the oil return than it is to remove the oil pan for the oil return. Again this kit is designed to be installed by anyone, anywhere at anytime.
As far as pricing goes I have not said anything about that as I don't deal with the pricing of the kits. I am here merely to let the public know what we are up to at STS and answer any questions that may come up. I am not a salesmen. I design and install turbo systems and also help with tech support.

How many times does this guy have to own you before you just shut the **** up? You know absolutely dick about how they have to design and build stuff. Did it take them longer? Yes. They also didn't have to cut out the trunk floor or modify the car much at all. They might also have other things going on, like designing kits for other cars or things like that.
You're pretty cocky for a guy who's car has just started running. No numbers, no durability testing, nothing.
