gonna try to fit 305/35/18 R888's on the V

TheLAW - Read above, but also... you might want to reconsider 275's all around. I had 275's on the front and 295's on the rear of my Mustang and those 275's on the front would "track" HARD (IE when you're on a road that's got those dips where people's wheels usually are, it'll yank you all over the damn place). It also KILLS your turning radius, and costs more ... at little to no benefit. IMO Put the big meats out back and leave the 245's up front.

I would love 295's out back, but that is probably pushin it. 305's are 12 inches wide, so 2 inches wider than your rims. 275's are 10.8 inches wide, so 2.3 inches wider than my stock wheels ... pretty close to the way yours look. I don't think I'd want the tire bulging out any more than that (and I'm not sure it'd be safe either).

I have 255/40/18's on front & there is like.... Less than 1/8" clearance inside at the upper control arm. Can't see how your could get much bigger on there.
But Hey! Didn't think there was anyway I'd get 305's on the rear either, So I guess you never know.

Haven't noticed any real difference yet... But then I really haven't done anything yet to be able to tell.
Gotta be careful testing tires on the street, Since I've found no tire really hooks on the street and it sometimes hard to tell which one spins the least.
I don't know how many times in just moderate driving I get to thinking the clutch seems to be slipping, When I pay more attention,...It's not the clutch, And it tells in the tire wear. I know I've been gradually dropping the tire pressure on the R888's... trying to get a little better hook just in normal driving.
The R888's are probably not gonna be the tires of my future..... Still gonna have to run a drag radial I think. But at least I know I can use a 305 now.

As much power as you are funneling thru those meats I'm sure the only time you would have traction issues would be starting a run at some redicules speed like 150-160mph... I've always assumed that driving around with that much hp and especially tq is like driving around on ice at all times and can never really put down the full potential of your car because of it.... not a bad problem to have if I say so... and I really want to see you take this beauty out to a standing mile event just to see you smash the V record.. I beleave the Texas mile record for a V is 180mph? I'm sure some other fellow Texas guys could chime in on that but I think you really should pull in some records with her...
