Cat-Less Kooks 1 7/8 LT's on their way!!!

Well I finally did it after dragging my feet for a whole year lol. I called up Cliff Paschal today and pulled the trigger on some 1 7/8 LT's with cat-less connectors. Great guy to work with BTW and unbeatable pricing.

Now, I need to get some motor mounts as they're easier to do when pulling the headers off. I'll throw up the kooks, MM's, my Over-driven pulley and larger injectors then dyno tune.

Any guesses at what I'll be making? I am currently making 487rwph (mods in my sig). A cookie if anyone guesses it right :D

Eh your gonna regret going with the kooks 1 7/8........NOW!!! your gonna kick yourself in the ass for not doing them a year ago trust me. Clifford is a great guy to deal with thats where i picked mine up.

My guess is you'll make 527rwhp.

Jealous! :(

Wait till I order my mounts within these next weeks n we can have a mod day hahaha

My guess is you'll make 519rwhp. I seem to have hit a brick wall at 495. I did the same mods, 10% over crank, and longtube 1 7/8 no cats. Picked up 36hp. Good luck and keep us up to date!!!!

PS with no cats, my shit will shoot flames out the exaust when i lift after a 4th ot 5th gear pull at night!!!! hehe

I'm hoping the E85 will be the difference that will propel me up over 520rwph.
Damn, do you have a sound clip of yours? I bet it's LOUD!

Speaking of loud, what kind of mufflers should I get? I've been leaning towards the Hooker Aero Chambers. I want something to quiet it down. I had my test pipes in for a few hours and it sounded like garbage so I'll need something to tone it down.

I'll need some tips too!

very interested in results, i'm not e85 as there are few stations here in the sunshine state, but i have catted 1 3/4 and am contemplating hard on going 1 7/8 no cats. I don't think I will see a gain to justify the $$ especially without an upgrade like the pulley at the same time, but still interested. 500 is a hard # to exceed with these Vs!

ColeGraham 09-03-2010 04:16 PM

515 RWHP...good luck dubb. its about time you got them Kooks :D

wmskateteam 09-03-2010 04:18 PM

oh wow, just noticed you're making this on manifolds, should be a nice bump!

tweeter81 09-03-2010 05:50 PM

My guess is 522 rwHP. Good luck, man!

JJSimon904 09-03-2010 09:30 PM

Were you making 487rwhp on stock injectors?

Remo 09-03-2010 09:32 PM

I have video of it on the dyno I'll see if I can post.

deedubb 09-03-2010 09:38 PM

I made 487rwph on the stock maggie injectors (42#'ers) but was at 100% duty cycle on them. I will be putting the 60#ers for the next dyno run.

ea i see you leaving maybe 5-8rwhp on the table with the 1 3/4, hardly worth the time and money to swap them out even though youll recoop 80% of what you paid for the 1 3/4.

ChitownLS1 09-24-2010 03:34 PM

Cliff?

How do I get in contact with cliff?

deedubb 09-24-2010 04:40 PM

That's funny you ask, I think he's actually going to be in Chicago this weekend and asked if anyone would be around that wanted to meet up or talk
