Default Dash dress up kits?

Anyone messed with these? That big chunk of black plastic that makes up the V's center stack is kind of boring looking. I'm thinking the brushed stainless steel look would be appropriate, while the wood would not! Guy on Ebay makes billet aluminum ***** for radio and vents, but they cost a small fortune-about $400 to do the radio and all vents. Door locks are about another $100. Could replace both rear axles for that money!

i think a lot of those billet pieces start o look like overkill honestly... and i would hate to have to use them in the middle of the summer...

I have always thought it might look nice to paint the edges of the center console in a gloss black, similar to the newer cts's don't know how well it would turn out, but thought it would be an nice look

The only real way is to do it the right way, wrap it in leather or suede. The rest of the dash is too texured to make it a straight forward job, but the bezel around the radio/nav/hvac wrapped in matching leather or suede would compliment it. If I keep this car, I'll do that, and get the steering wheel done in suede.

Thanks for your opinion-most people HATE these kits (see post below). Someone in the other Cadillac Owners forum said "I'll come to your house if you do this!"

I just want something to cover up the shift boot cover. That plastic feel sticky in the summer. Hate it.

Cant get on Ebay at work (US gov) enter CTS-V ***** there are several different auctions going with different amts of pieces. $125 JUST for the 2 radio *****!! I sent the guy an email offering a bit less-answer was NFW! Dude makes these at home in his spare time. he is member of the other CTS-V forum. I found his ads WAY back, maybe 4-5 years ago under the Appearance Modification section.

The other kits are available everywhere commercially. I think BAI was the one I was looking at.
