Default Installed FAST 92mm, TPIS 90mm TB & more

so getting ready for the big cam, I jumped the gun last weekend and decided to put parts on. Pictures will be available next week.

Installed: FAST 92mm, TPIS 90mm TB, Lingenfelter 102mm MAF, 42lb SVO green tops, billet fuel rails, 390lph Denso/Kyosan fuel pump and a custom cold air intake tube and air box.

Cam I am going with is a Streetsweeper 236/240

Hopefully STAGEUP will be at my house on Sunday to get this bad boy running. Went into fail safe mode. TOO MUCH AIR FLOW!!

I have one issue that I have to finish up tomorrow and it is regarding the fittings for the fuel rails. Since the fuel is regulated in the tank, what would be the problem with a 3/8 OEM quick connect on the feed line with a Y block feeding into the back of both rails and then the front crossover. Does anyone see any problems doing it this way?? maybe overkill all done in -8an.

strip next weekend.

PHOTOS UPLOADED... not complete but gives you an idea and believe me IAT temps decrease with my setup. I will be coating the inside of the box with some type of heat/sound deadening. some trim pieces still need to be made, but otherwise complete.

This thing screams through 7k with no problem. had to back some timing out due to air loading up in cylinders. ALL THAT MEANS IS THE CAM IS READY TO BE INSERTED, LOL.

I can't help answer your question but I'm curious to see how it runs. Keep us posted.

Denso Universal 1020 Racing Fuel Pump . there is a good write up about the pump on the corvette forums. you can google it and the thread will come up. I was able to track them down for 149.00 shipped. So, I thought I would give it a shot.

To fix the limp mode problem you will need to adjust your "Calculated Airflow vs. TPS vs. RPM" table.

I know. the problem is my friend with the tuner (STAGEUP) works out of town during the week and I am on his time. so I had to wait until this weekend to get the car back and line everything up. Plus, it give me time to finish the custom airbox and intake tube. If it turns out like I planned, could get him to make a few of them.

I'm curious about the intake tube and airbox, can't wait to see the pics. I'm running the FAST 90 and it really wakes up the car up top. I'm actually having stability control issues with it. Even at 70mph it gets shaky and wants to side step because of the stupid stability control. So now I just disable it whenever i get in the car.

Ive considered doing a FAST and injectors and TB but could never bring myself to drop 1200+ on the 10-15rwhp from 5500rpm+.

^ The gains are even more if you have a cam and then more on top of that if you do heads. Most pick up more than 10-15 on non-stock motors and not just at 5500+.

You would bring this up 3 days after I order my Volant intake..haha. I was going to make my own, but got lazy and ordered one instead.

I think 15 is average for a cammed car. I dont think you will make much more until you do heads. Its a good mod and looks badass though. I probably should have done it but ive started an LS1/T56 notchback project so the V aint gettin any love.

@itsslow - I feel you. I had to search and wait to find deals on all my stuff. I ended paying <1000 for all of it and I got 525.00 for the top end I took off. so net <500 for my setup.

Ooooh, notchback as in LX 5.0L? I've been thinking of an LS/T56 setup for my '89 convertible.
