i just do like the fact you have to pay for an avatar and a sig, and you still have ads. IMO, ad free and pay or ads and dont pay. maybe i am a slight cheap ***...but damn it i am a fat kid that likes cake.

A lot of people have great success with firefox and adblock plus. It works great on CF and everything loads very fast with MINIMAL ads. With IE it is crazy slow and way too many ads.

I post on cf because that was the only active forum when I got my V. Ls1tech had no traffic forever but there had been some organic growth and it has become a good alternative to cf. Much more laid back feeling over here. I enjoy reading threads but just don't have the time to post in both forums.
Cf is brutally slow, but I use an application called tapatalk that strips out ALL that bs. I support them simply for the info resource and advice from people that have owned Vs for many years. Cf has also grown in noob membership recently and that has helped to change the feel.
I don't recommend one over the other but if I bought my V today I'd hang around here more.
I assume everyone reads both so when I post there I'm thinking the ls1 tech guys see it anyway.

I like both sites and post on both, but I have, IMHO & FWIW, noticed some differences.
I think that CF has a stronger core of knowledge for both V1 & V2's. They are also more V2 oriented. They have separate sections for both V1 & V2, which makes it somewhat easier & quicker to obtain specific V1 & / or V2 info. It is slow, but it wasn't quite that slow when I first signed up in early '09 or so. Didn't seem to have quite as many ads as they do now.
I think that LS1Tech is a little less up-tight in general attitude. I notice that LS1Tech has a very strong SoCal core section amongst all of the different car markers.
Bottom line is that I like both, and each has their strong and their weak points. I support both by posting but as typical for a cheap old man, I don't believe in supporting any site for $. I belong to quite a few car & gun sites and I don't support any with money. HTH

new vendor
thanks Moze, free choice and competition is the American way!
As far as CF, I am extreme newb and began there because that's where Google sent me. I also have found several V owners within 50 miles of my location (Western Mass), which might as well be on another planet!
