Default staggered tire suggestions

ok well I am on borrowed time with my currrent tread...I originally was going to go with 265/40/18 on all four corners but a friend has staggerd 245 front and 275 rear. I like the 275 on the rear.

So here is the question, I like the same size on the 4 corners because of rotation for thread life but how is the thread life for those who have a staggered set-up?

275 on the front, 295 on the back.

Back ones wear out quite a bit faster because of how I drive.

Edit: Didn't pay attention to what you drive haha. Maybe with IRS it is different.

295's on the back will most likely not be possible no matter the brand. You can put 255's on the front with no problems but any wider and you will probably scrub like a ****. I had 275's on my rears, but the guy who mounted them scratched the **** out of my rim so when I got new tires I went to 255 in the back. I will be buying new tires in the next couple of months so I will go 275 in the back again and 255 in the front, Just have to go to a good shop to mount my tires this time.

I had 295/35's and 255/40's on mine for awhile. Fit with no problems surprisingly. Currently running 275/40's and 255/40's at the moment. Will be running 275/35's and 245/40's in the near future when I install my coil overs and turn them down.

275/40 and 245/45 here. The two heights are nearly identical and I love the look.

275/40 r 245/45 f...and I am lowered. But the fender lips need a slight roll.

I just just my trusty rubber mallet and towel, and rolled them in myself. I did that because its hard to find a roller out here and there is no way I was going to pay the body shops out here what they wanted.

My fronts are doing really well (8/32) and the rears are at around 7/32 after 11,000 miles. One rear is at 8/32 after 6,000 miles. Had to replace one because i ran over something on highway, and if fucked up the tread.

I have Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 Wide Oval. They aren't the best tire you can buy. but for $800 OTD with Road Hazard and Warranty, I think they are doing well.

TriGuy: First what size rim will you be using? That makes a big difference.

F 245 45 18
R 275 40 18
Had to roll rear fenders since under hard acceleration and sharP turns it would rub big time. But than I'm lowered on h&r springs and mm spacers in rear.

^^^Most tires are directional, so no side to side...

I run 275/35 R and 245/40 F with H&R springs/mm spacer. No rubbing at all.

Not much gap but i think it looks great.
